What song of yours is the one you like the most?
The last EP released is a very especial one (Raver by Vaakø) which is one of my projects, it is special because of the people involved as I had a very old friend and DJ/ Producer which remixed the track and a guitarist that participate in the other RMX, was something that gave me a lot of satisfaction.
How do you write your music?
My main DAW is Ableton, but I use a lot Logic for some sound design because of their native plug ins are amazing. Since my background is Sound Design I record
a lot of sounds and mutate them.
What influences do you have?
I try to be original as I can and not to copy anyone, despite of having a lot of influences specially nordic artists. My path into electronic music
is a long one as I started to listen back in the 90’s and embraced production in the beginning of 2000.
What´s the best experience you have had with your project?
The best experience I think, was sharing ideas with other artists and learn different working methods which sometimes gives you another workflow and creativity. Music for me is all about sharing ideas and the tru passion for it.
What plans do you have this year?
This year I am trying to release music
through other labels and start a new project with another artist but. more into the abstract side of Electronic
Music and mainly with the use of Hardware.
Mention something you don´t like about your project.
Probably the fact that at the moment due to space condition my music is based in Digital domain, and I would like to be more creative through the use of Hardware.
Mention the biggest sacrifice you did for your project.
The time is short at the moment and I spent quite a lot of time in front of the computer and did not spend it with my daughter.
What band, music project or solist from your city do you like?
At the moment probably Ansome, as he basically plays live all the time and onely with modular racks and Machine Drums, which is something that I want to start doing it.
If your project was a word, what would it be?
-Nelson Ribeiro aka Vaakø, in my studio at the moment in South London.
