When did the project begin?

The project began at the start of 2014 – so we’ve been working at this for only about a year and a half. We met in the Sydney art community and through mutual friends.

What song of yours is the one you like the most?

We think thats a bit too hard of a question haha – We love all of our songs, for different reasons. If we had to choose one, we think ‘Pyramid’ would be our favourite just because if was the first song we wrote together. So it’s very nostalgic in that sense.

How do you write your music?

Previously, Michael would write the instrumentation and compose everything himself in his bedroom studio, and Louise would write the lyrics and come up with the vocal melodies. To a degree that still happens, but we are starting to work together a bit more and both sit down in the same room to compose.

What influences do you have?

We both love portishead, and london grammar. But aside from the trip hop stuff, we love listening to folk and blues as well. We get a lot of inspiration from artists like jeff buckley too.

What´s the best experience you have had with your project?

We just released our first EP called ‘Glass Balloon’ which would have to be the best thing so far. Aprat from that, we’ve played to some wonderful audiences supporting which we had a lot of fun too.

What plans do you have this year?

We have another music video coming out later in the year – we also are going to be working on more tracks and hopefully get some remix collaborations happening to!

Probably dealing with the industry side of things is our least favourite aspect of music – it takes away from the creative aspect alot.

Mention the biggest sacrifice you did for your project.

We’ve had to stop going to university, and also not pursuing other careers would be a slight sacrifice. But it’s all worth it, because music is what we want to do right now.
