Interviewing musicians from all over the world!

UNIFYING PRINCIPLE

UNIFYING PRINCIPLE

in English by

When did the project begin?

This is currently a solo project, but I intend to collaborate with my friends in the near future. I started writing as in early 2014.

What song of yours is the one you like the most?

I like my newest track a lot. It’s called Divine Dream.

How do you write your music?

If I tell you that I’ll have to kill you. So I won’t tell. I do have a logical process but I also work very intuitively. I like to bring different elements together, things which usually don’t go together, and figure out how to balance them harmoniously.

What influences do you have?

I have too many influences to mention here. There are not many genres that I won’t listen to. For me, most things are superficial but there is always a small percentage of authentic, high quality material. That is what I listen for. I always learn and take inspiration from any interaction.

What´s the best experience you have had with your project?

I love to compose music. That is my passion: to start with nothing and to create something unique and beautiful. I love the creative process. I generate the raw materials and then I refine them until I have a single piece of art. And then I love to sit back and listen and say, “Yes, now all the different elements are balanced; everything is in the right place.”

musicsoundrocks2 - copia What plans do you have this year?

This year I am living with my daughter and helping her finish high school. So I have to go to work to pay for everything. I am a Youth Worker, helping young people in state care. But I want to set up a new project: an to connect artists, musicians and creative adults with young people – to inspire them and show them that there’s a lot more to being human than just being an obedient worker and consumer in a stupid and corrupt society. I am thinking to do a crowd funding campaign to make this happen.

Mention something you don´t like about your project.

I don’t like being away from my project. I don’t like having to do it in my spare time (when I’m not working to make money to live). I want this project to be an important part my bigger project of building strong communities based on an understanding of compassion, kindness, communication and cooperation.

Mention the biggest sacrifice you did for your project.

I sacrifice myself. I give myself completely to any activity I do, including this project.

What band, music project or soloist from your city do you like?

Actually I don’t really know of many local artists here in Sydney, although there are so many. I come from a rural area before I came to Sydney last year. I listen to music from all over the world. I feel very lucky to have the internet so I can travel the world discovering all kinds of wonderful things.

If your project was a word, what would it be?

– Balance

– Pauly V Leonardi. I am at my current home in Sydney, Australia.
