When did the project begin? and How did you meet yourselves?

I started making music in 2009, I slowly bought more gear for my studio and started to self release beat CDs for free and a bit of money here and there. What I set out to do is still what I am trying to do now, just make my music with my own voice.

What song of yours is the one you like the most?

Its very hard for me to say, my favourites are often the most recent and they have not been released yet so I can not share them… for now I will say this track:

How do you write your music?

I start my sampling lots of material from records whilst thinking about what I want to make. I then begin to try and structure a tune. Often They don’t work so I will go back to the project and reuse the samples in other ways for other tracks

What influences do you have?

Madlib, Theo Parrish, Moodyman, Dilla, massive attack, DJ Shadow

What´s the best experience you have had with your project?

Playing at the national portrait Gallery in London 2014 as well as the TATE Britain were pretty cool.

What plans do you have this year?

Im finishing off a hiphop album with a rapper called Madlean, also trying to finish off an ep with a cool label called 22a. Im doing some music also with a singer called Aisha Zoe. Hopefully these will all be out on Vinyl. Apart from this Im trying to get more Sound Design work and teach more drum lessons.

It can be very frustrating spending 4 hours on a tune and it still not work.. Im currently developing my sound so I’m learning much more about my methods and attitudes for producing music. Also, I don’t have as much time as I wish I did, this means collaborations I would like to do I can’t, and I find my self having to turn down a lot of projects which could go places

Mention the biggest sacrifice you did for your project.

no girlfriend.

What band, music project or solist from your city do you like?

A label based in south London called 22a have a unique sound which completely resonate with where I musically come from and where I would like to take it.

If your project was a word, what would it be?

– samples
