Inspired
The project began around the same time I left school in 2007. It’s just been something to work on and enjoy in my spare time. I’ve been playing and recording in a few bands since around that time, so this has been my own personal thing. đ
What song of yours is the one you like the most?
This is a difficult one, but I’d probably have to say ‘Our Winter’ from the album ‘Autobiography’ because it is about good friends and reminds me of good times in a bittersweet sort of way.
How do you write your music?
I have no idea. I find it really hard to try and write music, the best stuff usually comes out of nowhere when you least expect it!
What influences do you have?
Some of my more prominent influences would probably be the likes of Elliott Smith/Heatmiser, John Frusciante, Joey Cape/Lagwagon. I listen to a wide range of music so my main influences are always changing!
WhatÂŽs the craziest experience you have had with your project?
It’s pretty much just me, so there isn’t that much craziness in that sense!
Although sometimes one person’s crazy is enough!

What plans do you have next?
I’m not really one for making many plans for the future.
I think I will keep doing what I am doing, maybe record another album if I can find the time, who knows!
Mention something you donÂŽt like about your project.
I am a very self-critical person so I really don’t like listening back to my songs, I always seem to find faults with the sound, one of the instrument tracks or with the vocals. It drives me crazy!
It is one of the reasons why I recorded ‘Autobiography’ by myself in my bedroom. That way I knew that I could take as much time as I needed and could re-record as much as I liked without bothering anyone else!
Mention the biggest sacrifice you did for your project.
Hmmm, this is an interesting question.
Sacrifice is a definite part of being a musician or creative-type, but to be honest this project is probably one that has demanded the least from me. Because it is only me, I am able to set my own terms.
Time is a sacrifice we all have to make though, so it would probably be that!
What band, music project or soloist from your city do you like?
I am lucky enough to live in a city that is absolutely bubbling over with fantastic musicians and acts! The only downside is that it makes questions like this a little hard to answer!
I’d have to say a band called ‘King Goon’. They are fun, talented, friendly guys playing music that is both interesting and sometimes political, and will make you want to dance! Seriously, I love those guys, check them out for sure.
If your project was a car, what model would it be?
It would probably be one of those Open-source Tesla electric cars; because it’s like something you know but it’s different, and anyone can make it if they have the time and tools! đ
